Come and go winter and snow and hours and sun. Once used to the brighter evenings, backyard feels dull again with the night to take hold of it. Todays late messages in random inboxes attempt to grow needs one didn't pay attention to, so far, and try to nudge into subscribing to services that don't seem to make any sense on closer look. Across the street, there's still a huge string of lights waving in a breeze above the balcony, and watching it swing, watching the small lamps draw random lines into the darkness is this moments soothing quality. Nearby: The things we notice, the things we didn't do today, the things we hope for, for tomorrow. Sleep tight everyone wherever you are.

Hours later. In between cities and villages and the roads have broadened and changed and still pretty much remained the same. The same picture, too, as in the morning, mostly static and a little less bright: Houses windows ornaments and many episodes unrecalled all along the lines. Waiting for the snow again. Sleep well everyone wherever you are.

Past 9pm and still turning. Hair cut paper cuts sore fingers beard trimmed gifts wrapped cat locked out of living room, noticeable protest included. Another tea, letting candles flicker behind slightly open windows, just to close them feeling the sharp cold on arms and neck. Winter across the neighbourhood. A bit dizzy. Slowing down. Exercises in awareness, too: Remembering arbitrary hours spent ever since waking up. Improving on that, calm, grateful, content with the flow of the day. Have a soft night everyone wherever you are.

Notes on the sidelines. Green light, dark city. A new couple moving into the appartement across. Empty spaces, still-wrapped furniture and white clean walls. Kitchen business one floor below, returning with the seasons of steamy windows. Imaginary fingers leaving unspoken words written on cold surfaces, along with a stylized smiling face to spot the quietness in these late hours. Have a soft night wherever you are.
